This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar storage technologies Suspend uses, why we use them, and your choices.
1. What we use
We keep things minimal. Suspend does not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking. The list below is everything that is set in your browser when you visit our site or use our app.
1.1 Strictly necessary (always set)
- Theme preference — localStorage key
suspend_dark_mode. Saves your light/dark mode choice on your device only. - Waitlist rate-limiting — localStorage key
suspend_waitlist_attempts. Prevents abuse of our signup form. Cleared automatically after 15 minutes. - Consent state — localStorage key
suspend_cookie_consent. Remembers whether you accepted or declined non-essential cookies, so we don't ask again.
1.2 Security (require your consent in the EU/UK)
- Google reCAPTCHA v3 — Cookies set by
www.google.com(e.g._GRECAPTCHA) used to distinguish humans from automated abuse. We use this to protect our waitlist and contact forms. Google Privacy Policy. - Firebase App Check token — Stored in browser IndexedDB. Cryptographic proof that a request is coming from a legitimate Suspend client. Issued by the reCAPTCHA system above.
2. Your choices
If you are in the EU or UK, a consent banner is shown the first time you visit. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies. Declining means our waitlist and contact forms will not work for you — they rely on reCAPTCHA to prevent automated abuse.
Outside the EU/UK, we do not show the banner. You can still clear your browser's storage at any time to reset all of the items above.
3. Changing your choice
To re-open the consent banner and change your decision, use the button below. (You can also clear your browser's storage for suspendmtb.com — specifically the suspend_cookie_consent entry — to reach the same state.)
4. Updates
If we add new cookies or tracking technologies in the future (for example, analytics), we will update this page and re-prompt EU/UK visitors for consent where required.
